lectio divina

rediscovering the wisdom of scripture
Picture
What we call the Bible is a complex collection of different types of inspired writing which can sometimes seem perplexing.  Even with the best scholarship, it can also fail to move us personally if it is not read contemplatively.  In unlocking the good news of the wisdom of scripture, we therefore look to combine the best of reason with deep reflective practice.

Lectio Divina (Latin words which mean 'divine reading') is an ancient practice.  It rests on the expectation that the Spirit can speak to us today through the words of Scripture.  It can be practiced alone or in a small group.

Look out for more information about forthcoming groups and individual guidance...
